Twisted Equine Wellness
Equine Assisted Therapy
A unique therapeutic experience where horses become partners in healing. No horse experience required.
Healing in the Company of Horses
At Twisted Equine, we believe the barn holds a kind of quiet that is hard to find anywhere else. In partnership with Lauren Daurio, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, we are bringing that stillness into the therapeutic space.
Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) is a evidence-informed approach that uses interactions with horses to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and personal growth. Sessions are facilitated by Lauren and take place right here at the farm — no riding, no horse experience, and no prior therapy experience required.

Sessions are private, one-on-one, and guided entirely by you and Lauren. There is no agenda beyond what you need.
Grooming
Caring for a horse through brushing and grooming builds presence, focus, and a gentle sense of connection. It is grounding work that asks nothing more than your attention.
Herd Watch
Observing horses in their natural herd dynamic offers powerful insight into communication, boundaries, and relationships — often reflecting our own patterns back to us.
Co-Existing
Simply being in the space with a horse — breathing, settling, and allowing the animal to respond to your presence — can be profoundly regulating for the nervous system.
Guided Movement
Leading or walking alongside a horse in a structured way builds confidence, trust, and body awareness in a way that talk therapy alone often cannot reach.
Mindfulness in Nature
The farm environment itself is therapeutic. Fresh air, open space, and the rhythm of barn life create a natural backdrop for reflection, calm, and clarity.
Boundary & Communication Work
Horses respond honestly to how we show up. Working with them in structured exercises helps clients explore and strengthen their own communication and boundary-setting skills.
No Horse Experience? Perfect.
Equine Assisted Therapy is not about riding or horsemanship. It is about relationship. Our horses are calm, well-cared-for, and accustomed to meeting people exactly where they are. Whether you have spent your whole life around horses or have never touched one — you are welcome here.
